He finds ways to improvise, adapt and overcome every single day. Tom gifted the original painting to Savannah Guthrie of the Today Show as a thank you for the work she does for the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, EDF. EDF creates awareness for caregivers of veterans such as Tom's wife, Mary. Mary is an alumni fellow of the Foundation representing the state of NC.
